I like Art

At least, I want to be the kind of person who is into art.  I actually don't know that much about painting or sculpture except that I think it is interesting. I recognize it is a world beyond my understanding; that it is a culture all it's own; it has a lexicon, history, and tradition observable but not participatory, at least to me.  Though perhaps when it comes to art, observation is participation.

Anyway, everyone has heard of the Sistine Chapel.  Now you can see it for yourself without leaving your computer.

(p.s. there is a musical track, so turn your volume down first.)

    1. The internet is pretty amazing.
    2. I don't know much about art either, but feel similarly about art snobs as I do about wine snobs. It's not about being able to discuss it with big words and pretentious airs, it's about what you like. My favorite pieces of art and architecture grip me and make me want to stop and look at them for a long time.

Ok, 3 thoughts, the third being that I need to remember to actually get up-to-date on your blog more often, since you're remembering to post regularly!
